By coincidence, it happened to be a Molossian holiday called "St. Swithun's Day". Also by coincidence, there happened to be a state visit happening between the Republic of Molossia and the Socialist Federal Union of Ponderosa Hills. Not even a month later came the founding of our wonderful nation.

We celebrate the day that His Excellency, Chancellor Ash Almanza signed the Declaration of Independence of the People's Republic of Tartistan, officially making Tartistan a sovereign nation.
