Republic of Toiletstein

The Republic of Toiletstein was a short-lived joke micronation that was founded by Ash Almanza and some friends when they were in 8th Grade. As the name suggests, the micronation was based in a middle school bathroom. After hearing about the Republic of Molossia and telling some friends about it, Almanza thought it would be funny to claim the boys bathroom as a sovereign nation. Almanza got several sticky notes and labeled the whole bathroom with government related stuff. On the entrance of a bathroom had a note that read "Exiting: USA, Entering: Republic of Toiletstein." 

One of the stalls was the presidents office and another was a capital city. The sinks were also labeled as a national monument. The Republic had both a President and a Prime Minister. This micronation of course only lasted 1-2 days since it was a typical middle school bathroom. Unfortunately no pictures were ever taken of the place, however this did further increase Almanza's interest in micronationalism. So as funny as it sounds, if it weren't for the Republic of Toiletstein, we may not even exist right now!
